A new ABC documentary is putting the focus on the last days of John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette, who passed away 20 years ago this year. ABC News correspondent Deborah Roberts said Kennedy and Bessette’s relationship was volatile to the end. “They were under an enormous bright spotlight and that had to be hard to cope with, particularly for her,” Roberts told Inside Edition. They ran hot and cold, alternately screaming at each other and seeming very in love. #InsideEdition

My dad passed away the same day. I will never forget it as long as I live.

What a good looking guy. I do believe they would not have lasted as a married couple though

Pilots at the airport told him to not fly that night. Even one pilot offered to fly with him and he refused. Kennedy Curse

I remember hearing the news and being devastated. I feel he could have been the right leader to save the US.

She knew who he was when she’s met him I’m sure his legacy alone intimated her. She wasn’t supportive or understanding.

He broke his ankle six weeks earlier. He hadn't slept at home for several nights prior to this trip because of marriage troubles. He was running late and was stressed. He had almost none experience flying the Saratoga. The weather was bad and many pilots cancelled their trips, that night. One of Kennedy’s instructors offered to accompany him, but Kennedy declined 😲Kennedy never made radio contact with any controller for the remainder of the trip. In addition, he filed no flight plan, made no request for flight following, and made no radio contact of any kind. The NTSB report indicated that the autopilot was not in use at the time of the crash. The guy was either committing suicide or he was a terrible pilot!

John Jr.
He seemed so sweet, nice, kind.
She seemed to be a difficult person.
Can see by how aggressive she was.

I lived on Madison Ave., so celebrity sightings were common.
I saw John only once, and he was even better looking that these videos if you saw him in person.

The 141 school where I learned to fly had a rule, imposed by their insurer. Night flight was limited to 25 NM from the home airport unless the pilot was instrument rated. This is the main reason I got my instrument rating.

It's god to see he spent his last days happy. If you have to leave early, do so on a high note
