And with that win, Michael Pixley has just punched his ticket to CJI 2 👏🏻👏🏻

Maybe this is a major part of the problem with ADCC/Flo.

A purple belt just submitted the #1 seed and overwhelming favorite in the tournament and instead of an interview with that guy, or excitement on the next stages of the tournament, excitement on the fact that anything can happen, we get this?

I think this video might have made sense next week, I wish Meregali a speedy recovery, but this ain’t it Flo.

U can tell he’s been crying. I am not enjoying him being sad or injured. But I enjoy him being humbled. He might say those words, but he knows deep down that he lost and why. When 2 men are in the ring, in the cage or on the mats, they know and feel what each other is capable of. He was dominated and because of his arrogance/ego he cannot process it and admit it on camera. But he definitely felt it.
His jiujitsu is GREAT. And I really enjoy watching him rolling (comp or training). Even learned a lot from him. But no one is unbeatable in Jiu-jitsu, especially at black belt level.
The best thing is to learn how to take a loss, learn from it and grow. Like Gordon Ryan did after he lost against Peña some years ago. He didn’t look for excuses, reflected on it, came back stronger and is the GOAT now. And he will still lose one day to someone.
It feels Meregali won’t grow because he won’t learn from it, because in his mind he didn’t lose, HE GOT INJURED. No man, it doesn’t work like that.
Get well man ✊🏾, recover, rest, reflect on it, train, stop all the antics, humble yourself a bit, and give us beautiful matches and subs.

These aren't mutually exclusive events. He both lost and got injured. In a combat sport, the likelihood of losing and having an injury contribute seems highly probable and a pretty regular component of "losing". Not of fan of him diminishing Pixley's contribution to him "losing".

Pixley was throwing him around… he won, you lost… part of the sport. Feel slightly bad that he got injured, but he’s quite arrogant…. So don’t feel that bad.

Meragali disse que "não esperava perder o ADCC por lesão", voce não perdeu por lesão, voce foi FINALIZADO!

He injured it by landing on his shoulder trying to maneuver during the throw. He was already in a losing position, but the pain seemed to make him tap much sooner than he normally would've judging from his matches in past. Shoulder dislocations are often very painful but when reduced (put back in place) sometimes heal with time/rest. However, if the ligaments stretched too far that they're too lax, it re-dislocates too easily going forward so many athletes need surgery to make it stable enough for such high-intensity activity.

He posted his arm to break the fall. At this level of competition, it's a rookie mistake. It's better to take the fall than break your arm. It's one of the hardest instincts to fight. There's no shame in this mistake. As always, the fundamental basics remind us of their importance.Good luck on your recovery choom.

I really don’t like seeing anyone get injured. Getting injured sucks. I hope he gets the proper treatment and comes back. He will. He is tough

Couldn't have happened to a more humble guy

You didn't lose because you got injured. You got injured because you lost.

I don't feel happier watching him lose at all. He is in a dark place right now. I hope he finds the light and returns stronger than ever.

Character is defined by how we get up after falling down. I’m still a fan, get well soon Nicholas.
