Right with you on every point. I have had these conversations with certain members of my local church ad nauseum if for no other reason than to keep ourselves sane in the midst of all the lying, half-truths, capitulation, wussing out, etc. by our own TGC fanboys and the like. And as you pointed out there has been ZERO humility and repentance.

When these vids started to come out with a format of a conversation between Keller, Carson and Piper I switched off. No longer was I being schooled into reading and thinking but basically being told what to think. I learned so much from them. It appears that they just could not see that the conversation moved on.

Part of the challenge with the legacy issue is that while TGC has had and continues to have some really unhelpful takes in directions that are really not where I would land theologically, a group like Clear Truth hasn’t shown any of its cards as to why it should be trusted as an upcoming group. That’s the problem with saying goodbye to things - you’re wiser and more cautious to say hello to new things that look the same as the old was when it started.

Something I think you guys have got your work cut out for us to help people like me who would love a resource like CTM or GTC to see why it’s worth trusting you guys.

The gay question I want answered:
If you’ve done everything to discourage homosexuality, and your child has grown up and moved out, should you
1) bring it up every time you have contact with them and tell them how disappointed you are or
2) only mention it when they bring it up or it comes up in conversation, as they already know how you feel or
3) disown them or
4) something else?
