Many people complain that the Raspberry Pi is an underpowered, potentially unreliable computer unsuitable for hosting websites or doing any "real" server-like tasks. I beg to differ! In this presentation, I explore how well the Dramble—a cluster of five Raspberry Pis with a load balancer, two webservers, and a master/replica database configuration—could run a Fortune 500 website.

So, one digitalocean 5$ box is faster then one pi? I was thinking to build one to run node.js. For some basic test, i can see that node ruining on one core, or 4 cores, i get 2.5x speed increase. So its not so linear.

Why not use MySQL Cluster / Proxy?
That way, the failsafe should kick in automatically.
