I would like to ask the panel what do they think about BRICS countries forming a NATO like defence alliance in the next 10 years? In my opinion if China and India resolve their Border disputes BRICS defence pact can be formed after all both india and China have been neighbours for 5000 years and have fought only one war with each other and as civilizational states have lived peacefully with each other. Moreover till 17th century were the two largest economic powers of the world. They both will gain and so will the neighbouring countries who can also join this defence pact.

As an analyst of US-China relations Mr Rudd seems peerless. Just go to 37:00 and listen to his comments on the current state of the relationship.

Asian nation have really be the winners of this globalization. Unfortunately having the ability to purchase cheaper goods that are not made domestically has a detrimental effect on the nation. Both in lost GDP and the growth of future antagonist. Balance free trade is the solution. Winners in the game will not want this scenario to take place and action to get them to change will have to come from outside sources.
