2:38 I got to this point and thought "wait a minute- this sounds familiar"
I looked it up, and sure enough, I've read the book this was based on. The book is actually surprisingly good and I remember that the relationship between Kyle and Will was a strong point in the story, and I'm surprised the movie doesn't seem to touch on it as much, but maybe that's just not shown in the recap. It definitely had a big impact on Kyle's character development.

I liked seeing this movie, but they really changed the ending from the one in the book. In the book ending it turns out that the house maid is the witch, and had been separated from her witch family for some time. So in granting the wish for the housemaid to see her family again it actually reunited the witch with her family.
