I love how in Ares, Mark was always shown respect, like the best player you'll ever meet and everyone who knows him have nothing but admiration, it makes you think he's unreachable, someone you need to earn the right to meet, and they keep building up the expectations.

Until he finally shows up, and he's there, approachable, down to earth, smiling. He will accept you in your team just because you want to try football even if you played no sport before.

Just this simpleton kid that likes football.

Makes me think they made it this way for kids who are watching Inazuma Eleven for the first time have some sort of expectation for Mark. And for us who know og Inazuma, that know that the kid ain't that out of this world yet all they said about him is true.

Orion Mark was okay with hurting their opponents, that's not the Mark Evans we all know and love.

The only ones that can contest with their OG versions are Mark, Axel and Nathan. Everyone else is pretty much severely butchered.

Basically all of the og inazuma eleven characters got done dirty in ares/orion. Both in character and in power level. Even if endou was powerful hes a plank of wood compared to his og version. Kidou got completely butchered to the point where he was just a slightly above average tactician and gouenji got taken out for most of the series and doesnt feel like himself anymore

Ok Axel I get. Last Resort is based as hell. But Ares Mark? Really? First off, I know Mark is basically Goku in Ares with his status, but come on? Even if he was a faux main character in Orion (I swear he was more important than Sonny. Heck even Heath was probably more important than Sonny and I despise that guy Moore), nothing can beat his OG. However, at least Jude was right. His role in the Satan Gaul match is high-key one of my most favourite moments of his, but still gotta choose the original.

I honestly love what they did with Saginuma in Ares. It shows that if it wasn’t for the Aleia Academy thing in OG, he would have just been a fun, theatric goober. It’s heartwarming to see the Aleia kids not be used for terrorism.

For me OG mark is better, but in terms of ability the Ares ones seems to win just because he is free from the plot, so he doesn’t need to take goals in every game.

The Mark Evans in Ares was clear, his Story and not on this but his Introduction itself was something else

Just recently I finished Ares (haven't gotten through orion yet) and I really got to say I really liked Mark and Xavier there, Mark really feels a lot stronger and like a better played plus I believe he has way cooler techniques.
Xavier's story was great for me in Ares, the double Xavier story made it so the match agaisnt the Alius would become one of my favourite matches in all of the franchise.
Maybe Hunter could be near the lvl of the og Xavier for me.

The others are pretty fine in Ares so far, I'll have to see what they are up to in Orion
