She has some nerve, I live in UK for 11 years now and have left everything behind in Netherlands to start new in UK, now she is saying " won't be asked to leave immediately", WTF? Are they getting a joy out of torturing people like this? I have studied in this country, I have worked in this country, I need to know if my residence is permanent, I have no families left in Netherlands, where the F am I supposed to go if I get deported later?

The are no true English, we are a mongrel nation, we always have been.

Who is English and where do you draw the line? The whole history of this island for thousands of years has been one of migration, immigration, conquest and multiculturalism. At our "height" we had subjects and citizens all over the world, there is still a Commonwealth which is the agreement between 52 countries that all are free and equal.

I believe that it should be remembered the reason these people came to the UK, they are economic migrants and if we went into a deep recession they would probably leave. The opportunitys for a better life were here so they came and most worked hard and did well.I don't think we owe them anything.

The UK ''panic'' about Brexit can easily be seen and the EU is taking advantage of that.In my own opinion, it is a big SHAME and UK  looks like a Nation without a clue. Those who voted Brexit will never achieve their aims.Purpose of Brexit and Brexit deal will end up as a loss on the path of the UK

Maybe the EU citizens should apply for work permits and if they have skills that are in demand they get the permits and can stay. The rest have to leave.

how is this different to simply applying for permanent residency after 5 years?
And will there be any 'hidden' requirements as is with the permanent residency form (ie. comprehensive insurance ).
And no, they can't simply remove people as they might cause a humans right infringement. The question is on VISA or no VISA requirements. And seeing how many non-EU immigrants they have, I don't see how they could do much about it.

Who is playing who? Do what we want, May. Not what they are telling you! Please believe in the UK.

"Sorry mate, all the thousands of tax pounds you paid over the years you were living and working in the UK won't count and we will keep all your contributions but throw your ass out."

Theresa May is taking a lot on herself with that remark. I would have thought that decision rests with the British people.

PHEW, I was having nightmares of my dad having to live back in Denmark. Atleast brexit is not as worse as it could of been.

And you know what’s a funny thing yeah, at my work place that we’re more than 25 employers there are only three English, my manager was once looking for employers and 4 to 5 people coming in for interviews were not English I’ll leave it up to you to decide what’s that meaning. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I bet Theresa May is one of those creatures from the 80's show V, she sheds her skin in private.

People keep supporting Brexit until they’ll pay for one apple on supermarkets 3£, they will curse the day that voted to leave.

Unless they have skills we really NEED, I say no more of them. In fact we should be deporting many of them. They have nothing to offer us. They're rubbish that only came here to cause trouble in the first place.

They/she needs to go now i got a real strong feeling the the British people i mean the people and family's who fought in world wars for this apparent democracy will have there say ; was it worth it ??? the answers is beginning to worry me . The eurocrats are in denial there is some real descent within Europe i have travelled throughout Europe and spoke, argued, and discussed Euro issues with local people they are not happy but as usual the politicians go on there merry way totally ignoring the massive elephant in the room .
