I currently have two dogs, two cardigan corgis. I tried myself to train the older one when he was growing up but he's always had a recall problem. He even ignores some of the treats now. We have a new pup now too and while I'm trying my best to train him too, neither of them really listen. It's really stressful and they're both already very stubborn

We are preparing for a new pup's arrival this Saturday. I've been watching videos and sorting through what seem to be the most logical approaches. I've actually been practicing some of the techniques with our 12 year old dog and one thing that has been the most effective is maintaining eye contact when issuing any command. I also like the suggestion of using "yes" rather than "good boy" to convey approval.

I have a 4 year old beagle and other then sit he will not listen to anything. He’s had puppy classes, trainers, I’m a service dog trainer and he won’t respond to anything. Treats, toys, effection don’t work. He still struggles with potty training. It’s extremely frustrating. Idek what to do with him anymore.

Hahaha I enjoyed this video! Thank you so much but my dog Teddy is a 2 &half year old German Shepherd and sometime hes doesn't listen to me but the weird thing is I'm asking/telling him to do something he already knows... I think it's because hes to excited for his reward to actually focus on training :\ how can I help this problem??? D:

he also likes to not listen when I'm recording him... like he knows what I'm doing and he wants show off to make me look stupid lmaooo but I know thats not the case xD

I can't find anything about retraining a Stubborn dog. we picked up a bulldog a few months ago. The prior owners pretty much let her rule the roost, as they where an older couple and did little if any training. I am now working toward breaking my 5 year old bully from her bad habits. I have hit a wall where anytime she is out side, She never listens to anything I say. Inside she begrudgingly does. she is slowly getting better. But out side. Absolutely nothing. I can't even take her for a walk with out her pulling. Relentlessly, to the point she will work to get out of her harness and make a run for it. I don't know what else I can do.

I have a 7 week Border Collie, we have tried potty training and we know that it will take time . Our problem has been that he is bitting, we have tried redirecting, positive reinforcement, and we have tried telling him "ouch that hurts" and when we do he seems to bite down harder. We play with him so he will be tired when we start handling but we still get the same out come with growling and little barks. How can we address this problem?

around 6 Months ago i made a BIG MISTAKE and adopted a 6 year old dog! My life is Hell since i got this dog. !st he wont listen at all he doesn't react to me at all. No tail waggel (not even when i come home after a few hours out) Nothing ! She wont play at all, just eats and sleep. She wakes me up at 7am every morning if she wants to go out to do her business . She don't want to walk and i have to basically drag her out. I wish i never got this dog. Last year i lost my beloved dog which i had for 17 years, he was the world to me. This "new" dog is the opposite A NIGHTMARE
