Song of India hard pruning with updates!

My Song of India had stopped growing for more than 6 months now and, it had dropped most of its leaves as well.

I had done the soft pruning from top but didn’t see any growth. I also waited for spring to see if it pushes out new growth but no luck, so I decided to hard prune it ✂️

I first checked the stem if its dried out because it looked unhealthy and dry. But it seems healthy after scratching.

Finally, it has started showing new growth now and hopefully it will do better 🥹🤞🏻

Need help too with mine. It has lost all of its leaves but roots are apparently ok. I pruned hard and now I've two stems temporarly in water. What should I do and what kind of sol should I use? Thx!
