The orginal onslaught saga was the first time I remember seeing the entire marvel universe team up in real time. It'll always hold a special place for me

Well I'm actually glad they stopped Onslaught from fully resurrecting.
It happens way too often in storytelling, That the big bad is coming back, the heroes try to stop him, they fail, then they have have to beat the Big Bad when he's at full power.
It was refreshing to see a Preventive conflict rather than a reactionary one.

Here's an interesting thought. Does this make Franklin Richard's a mutant again since the person that said he wasn't was Professor Xavier? He could have been lying because the last person to defeat Onslaught was Franklin himself. And why wouldn't Onslaught try to guard himself from the person that beat him.

Man onslaught is one of my favorite villains. They really should have brought him back fully and gave him his due as a mini series at least.

The era I collected comics was just before the original Legion Quest into the Age of Apocalypse until just after the first Onslaught saga and Heroes Reborn/Return. Hearing about Legion and Onslaught together in a one shot and NOT having a one-on-one battle that destroys reality seems a little underwhelming... but it also sounds like the writers did a good job of telling the story they intended. I can not WAIT for the series, Legionaries. Nightcrawler, Pixie, Doctor Nemesis, Dust, JUGGERNAUT, BLINDFOLD, AND FORGET-ME-NOT! Love that Nightcrawler doesn't give a rat's ass about what the Quiet Council thinks of this team too. These Nightcrawler led books are so GOOD!

I find it very interesting what they're doing with the X-Men, and how this was handled, as well as everything else.

It think it neat how the solutions aren't always a fight. Creativity even including some real interesting politics and interactions between characters we otherwise would not have been able to see otherwise

I love how they have handled legion in more modern times. He helps but isn't front and center. His medatative stance and the energy flowing from his head is a great representation of how he has achieved a form of control and embraced his psyche. He's a very cool character.
I also find his casual way of talking fun.

Nice wrap up. I’m glad the story ended the way it did. Onslaught was a dangerous, overpowering force that needed to be defeated permanently. Some villainous characters have a huge impact, but shouldn’t be brought back over and over. It would be more interesting to see how Xavier and Magneto act going forward, Legion and Kurt will definitely have to be on alert.

Patton Oswald absolutely predicted the way the Xmen would go in his bit about Jesus joining the Xmen "Ok you guys go fight I'll stay back at the mansion and if anyone dies, boop I'll resurrect them" except the writers changed the name Jesus to Krakoa
