How I pitch stories as a independent journalist to editors

The most important element to freelance success for independent journalists is getting it right when pitching to an editor.

This is the most important parts of freelancing success because you only get one, short shot at getting it right. I want to emphases short because editors don't have a lot of time to assess a pitch.

You need to send five to six (max) lines about your story, so they have to be the best lines you have to offer.

You don't want to send an editor a convoluted story or a 'topic' you want to write about, you want to hit them right between the eyes with a story idea that will appeal to their readership.
