Piscifun Reels 18-MONTHS LATER

I’m revisiting some @Piscifun products I reviewed 18 months ago during my short and silly time on their Pro Staff. This experience taught me a valuable lesson about sponsorships and sharing contacts in the fishing community.

I’ll give you my honest thoughts on three Piscifun reels:
Carbon X 500 – Lightweight and great for finesse fishing, but with some durability concerns.
Carbon Prism 2000 – Reliable and capable of handling big fish, even after a thumb bolt issue.
Alijoz 300 – Surprisingly versatile for power fishing, despite a tricky tension adjustment.
These reviews are straight-up honest, as always. Whether you’re into bass fishing, panfishing, or exploring heavier setups, I’ll break down the pros, cons, and my personal experiences.

Do you have Piscifun gear? If so what do you like, if not do you use any budget gear?

I use the same carbon x V1 500 on my 6’6 1 piece acc crappie stick. Just got it for Christmas and it is a perfect pan fish setup. My personal crappie rig setup

Travis, I use the Carbon Prism 2000 in Seafoam Green, paired with a (matching) 13 Fishing Fate Green Medium Light spinning rod. I freaking love it! I mainly target Spanish Mackerel with the setup. I just discovered Seguar PE X8 micro braid, which (surprisingly) has a much smaller diameter when compared to my 10# Reaction Tackle 4-strand braid. I think I can get roughly 260 yards of the 16# PE X8 on this reel (compared to roughly 200 yards of 10# Reaction Tackle Braid). This isn't a bash on Reaction Tackle, either. They are my choice of braid and I love them, but this Seguar braid takes precedent on this reel (and for this specific purpose). Anyways, I'm sorry to hear about the toxic and poisonous fellow angler. It is a huge sign that you are on your way to the top, though, as contradictive as that may seem. I have subbed and I am more than happy to send you some things to try and make up for that d!ps!it. Let me know if you have a PO Box!
