In BC Tesla chargers are equipped with labels like "Powered with renewable hydro energy". Why don't they put a label like "Powered with salmon migration blocking dams"? Or "Powered with flooded lands"?

Save farmland? Hogwash: “Alberta has more land under agriculture than any province in the country except for neighboring Saskatchewan, about 200, 000 square kilometers. That’s bigger than about 18 countries in the world. Alberta has a solar farm that’s 465 MW capacity that covers 13.35 square kilometers. That’s about 0.007% of the land under cultivation. They could build 143 more solar farms of equivalent scale with 66 GW of capacity on 1% of their current agricultural land. Oh, and the total land area in Alberta is 3.3 times the size of the current land under agriculture.”

Good move Alberta! Alberta already has enough of these unsightly, inefficient, bird and bat killing wind turbines. Small Nuclear reactors and Natural Gas are better options for energy.

Alberta has wind turbines and solar panels everywhere already. They take up space and the energy is being sold to USA anyways. Why should canada have to have these everywhere?

If people are so concerned about farmland (and they should be), why do we not have laws that prevent people building homes that much larger than they need? Higher density and smaller footprint homes would help. However, we heard nothing about farmland until the farmers decided to try using that b.s. complaint against renewables. What are you people talking about at the cafes? Hypocrisy abounds.
