I find it comforting to hear commentary on the writings of saints and writers of Catholic antiquity than anyone of contemporary times. Even when dealing with a subject such as Antichrist, there is a calm and orderliness to their thinking that calms the reader.

The Didache is a marvelous bit of writing. Tells us much of the common state of Roman culture in that time, and what a huge shift Christianity was for them, and what we will lose from abandoning the Church and the ancient Catholic Faith.

The name of the Catholic (Katholikos) Church (Ecclesia) is in the Greek Septuagint. The reason it doesn’t show up in English is because the translation reflects the meaning rather than the name (as in Church/ecclesia throughout all/katholikos Judea).
