Obviously once you pass an arbitrary threshold (which will never be increased to accurately reflect the perpetual loss of purchasing power of our dollar) the government deserves the majority of what you gain, obviously...

So if you have no choice but to downsize your home due to the interest rates that were supposed to be low for a very very long time, the sale of your home will afford you less of a downgraded home.
