Trey entered the draft too early. The 9ers bit. Trey is a cool dude, heart of a champion, but the cake wasn't ready to be pulled out of the college football oven.

It's been 4 years. He's made absolutely 0 improvements. He's played almost a full season of preseason games. 4 years of NFL practices. I don't understand these people who mindlessly parrot "more reps." What do you think is all the sudden gonna pop out of the magic hat? He is what he is. An unskilled athlete playing QB. If all it takes is more reps to turn a guy into a franchise QB then every team would have 2 of them on their roster. Some people just aren't NFL material. Trey is not NFL material. Reps can only amplify a signal that is already there. There's no signal. 0 times 2 is still 0. 0 times a thousand is still, 0.

5 interceptions against backups. He should be cut. He has the outside physical traits, but SF found out he can't read defenses, has accuracy and efficiency issues.

Shannahan and Lynch really lucked out that Purdy is working out for them. Because that trade up to 3rd overall and picking Lance might be one of the worst trades of all time in hindsight, that happens to any other Coach/GM duo and they get kicked to the curb
