Keep going! Check out the next lesson and practice what you’re learning:

Sal shows how we can calculate the mean and standard deviation for the sampling distribution of the difference in sample means. Also, Sal talks about how we can tell if the shape of that sampling distribution is approximately normal.

I have been watching your videos since I was a small child and your videos have been setting a good base for me

I believe mathematics is power, thanks Khan you have motivated me to start a channel on mathematics known as DAVIKA Academy with goal of teaching undergraduate, postgraduate pure, applied and statistical mathematics. Once more let transform the education sector.

Hey Sal! I am having trouble with a question for school. The question supplies the mean, and wants me to find the standard deviation. I cant find any good information in my textbook about how to calculate this problem. Is there some sort of "reverse" equation i need to follow?

Sal I need help understand this... you got me lost when you squared both sides- why can’t you just add the standard deviation over the square root of 40 together- (4+3)/square root of 40? My formula sheet is written as sigma x bar = sigma x / square root of n. I get that you’re squaring the whole thing to add and then taking the square root of the whole thing afterward but a squared+ b squared does not equal (a+b) squared.
I’ve been watching all your videos for my MBA stats class to clarify my lectures- it’s been so helpful so far. Thanks!
