Also cheap safety glasses from the hardware store. I've got stitches in my eyelid due to an unpredictable crash (hole in ground, covered by grass) and could have lost it. Now I always wear glasses.

I would rather, myself, a alloy frame with rockshox high end suspension, like a Zeb ultimate, more than a fox 38. Same with drivetrains. SRAM over shimano. Brakes are shimano

Defo good advice helmet eye protection gloves minimum but you know what blake your bang on with people just need to get out there ... i started on a cheap hardtail and im glad i did progress that way first, I've seen no end of people buy all the gear then find their hearts no truly in it once its wet or cold then come next summer and they've lost the desire to ride total waste of money
