The theme of Solid Snake is still one of my favorite tracks of any video game- pretty much ever. This arrangement is just so good. Full of drama, intensity, and the same amount of hype.

Metal Gear 2 is on the top end of my favourite titles in the series. The pixel art doesn't age and the mechanics are still "solid" ;) I love rearranged versions of old game compositions because, while those originals still have a timeless magic, hearing these up to date takes really breathes more life into something that, while timeless, was limited by the technology of the time.

I love this arrangement and even the alert phase hook from Metal Gear ties both titles together seamlessly. Great timing on the upload release with the Master Collection, helps remind us what came before Solid.

It's interesting, Metal Gear 2 is a game that feels like it deserves the title "Metal Gear Solid 0" since it created the framework for the original PSX release despite operating on the 8-bit MSX system. This theme really sells me on the prospect of a full 3-D remake since the events in Zanzibar has a lot of bearing in future entries.

I'm sure folks have said so already, but this rendition deserves to be officially recognized. It hits every part of the original theme perfectly, with the added bonus of having some of MG1's dna organically woven into the composition. The part at 1:48 is especially good, my favorite part of the original MG2 theme, and does it 110% justice. I salute you sir.

My only complain is I want the part at 1:48 and onwards to be longer!
