I used to own a 2017 GT86 (special edition) which I eventually supercharged. Car looked amazing, drove/handled good and was well modified all around. I thought about LS swapping but I eventually just ended it up trading it in for a 2003 C5 Corvette which I still own today and let me just say, for a 20 year old car it beats a lot modern sports cars at a great price! After 1997 Corvette really changed the game as they came out with the LS1 engine and added a T56 transmission to the rear of the car, giving it a true 50:50 split balance. (That was the Dodge Viper transmission for those that don't know) My point being is if you really like the BRZ/GT86 platform/LS swap, you will absolutely fall in love with a C5 Corvette!!! They are super affordable and probably cheaper than a BRZ/GT86 these days. The C5 is literally the best sports car for the price I've ever been in!!

Man I'm so jealous. I've wanted an FR-S since 2016 and I'm just exploring what kind of engines you can stuff in it. There is no way I could LS swap a Corolla! Incredible moddability from this platform.

You can have 2 identical looking 86’s
The moment you LS/JZ swap it, the whole attitude of the car changes.
Once you KNOW it’s a beast, they all of a sudden look cool and not fruity

Twin turbo setup in an LS engine is for the lag. The thing is that with a single turbo you need a lot of piping everywhere, it takes a lot of space and forces you to make long tubing runs. So the exhaust gasses will take more time to spool up the turbo and then the turbo has to drag the air through the turbo intake (which would be quite long), compress it and then shoot it through the engine intake (whick would also be quite long) and then you get the power.

With a twin turbo you can make really short exhaust runs to the turbo, position the turbo intakes (or intercooler) right in front of the engine and have the main intake in a very short run too. Imagine a couple of alternators conected to the exhaust, to the intake and to the front of the car. Tat is quite efficient. That is why V6 and V8 engines are much more efficient to make twin turbo while in line engines are just fine with a single one due to the natural geometry and disposition of everything

Would be sick if you did the 4 center exhaust pipes from a C7 and then filled the holes where the exhaust use to be with reverse lights. 2003 subaru outback fog lights would be crazy for reverse lights.
