- Triage is a tool in Linear that helps prioritize issues requested by other teams or integrations. It acts as an inbox for each team on the workspace, catching issues for review before they enter the main workflow.
- If an issue is created by someone outside of your team or an integration, it defaults to the triage view for review, update, and prioritization before entering the team's workflow.
- To enable triage, go to your Linear settings and the team settings, switch it on and the triage view will appear in the sidebar for that team.
- Within the triage view, you can choose to accept, merge, decline or snooze issues. Accepting adds them to your workflow, merging combines them with related issues, declining changes their status to cancelled, and snoozing hides them until a later review.
- You can enhance triage by connecting it with various integrations to send customer support requests or alerts. This sets you up to try out triage and possibly discover hidden features within the view.
