Kids love games, songs, movement, and interesting stories. A subject doesn't have to be boring if you bring something personal to it along with a good amount of passion. :)

thank you so much for this video series. I am a native English speaker and found your videos incredibly helpful. In schools in England we are taught only 3 tenses and most of our grammar is learnt inductively. I'm now trying to become a tefl qualified teacher and I am meeting things I never new existed and it is challenging my preconceptions of grammar. Thank you for helping me understand language choices, rather that being told 'because it sounds better'.

[Hopeful correction: You're the best English teacher I've ever seen.]

Thank you for watching and supporting my work. I think we all tend to make mistakes sometimes in our own native languages. I do if I'm not careful. Sometimes I focus so much on what I want to say and not how I'm saying it. That's what communication is. We're trying to get our ideas across. Communication becomes more accurate when we use standard grammar. However, relaxed speech accepts more variation. The trick is finding the right degree of attention to form and meaning for the given setting.

It's possible to write the sentence as you did. We can use adverbs of frequency with the simple present to show routine: "He always works in his workshop in the evenings." The use of "always" with the present progressive is a common in conversation to describe a characteristic. Example: "Oh, you know Erik. He's always working on something. I'm sure he's in his workshop at this very minute." It's common to use this structure to complain or criticize: "Why are you always telling me how to drive?"

Hello. If you compare my series for beginners to this one, yes, this is more advanced. Beginners cannot compare all the verb tenses yet because they are generally limited to knowing about three or four at most. Beginners also don't usually study additional uses of the present progressive in terms of action vs. non-action (stative/ non-stative) and ongoing vs. temporary. Erik's reduced speech is not intended for beginners, nor are words like criticism, accomplished, and other academic vocab.

Yes, you have to work to adjust the volume. The picture quality in production is something you have to work out. I suggest working with Tech Smith support staff. They've been able to help me when certain projects fail to produce or render with freezing or delays. I usually use custom settings.

(Quick corrections to help, okay? "I downloaded these videos, and now my son is listening and practicing. It's very fruitful for him with high productivity.")

Because the stress (the emphasis) is on LIS and not "ten." LIS is the louder syllable. That's why we do not double the "n." But in unWRAP or STOP, the syllable before "ing" is stressed. That's we double the final consonant: unWRAPPing / STOPPing.
