Anyone that knows anything about business knows that having competition in business makes business better.

I feel for Trey. Dude can’t escape drama and it’s no fault of his own.

I think it's less an issue of telling the Starting QB. His job is to compete regardless of who they bring in. The bigger issue is adding a player, trading a pick and not telling the HC. The HC needs to know that. It really does tell you what the owner thinks of his HC.

Ryan is 100% right. How do you make a move like this without telling the coach?

Both sides have valid points. But with all due respect, Dak to me is being used as a scapegoat. Which has happened with many quarterbacks and coaches throughout the cowboys history. Are we forgetting that Jimmy Johnson, one of the best coaches in cowboys history expressed his own frustration with working for Jerry Jones? Jerry Jones has continued to overstep his relationships because he wants to play different positions to feel important to his team. He wants to be a coach, a manager, etc And when you do that it creates negative vibes with his employees cause it makes them not want to work for you since you continue to want to micromanage everything. There’s a reason why the cowboys haven’t won a superbowl in years and the only common denominator is Jerry. Everything else is detraction and smoke in mirrors. BTW relationships are one of THE MOST important aspects of a good work place and emotions and professionalism do need to be taken into account cause bridges burn because of soured relationships. Yes Jerry owns them nothing but Jerry also is responsible for his own actions that create negative tensions in that locker room IMO.

He doesn’t have to tell Dak...
But he does need to tell McCarthy

As an Eagles fan, I love it. The whole league passed on him, and if Shanahan can't fix him, do we think McCarthy will? I hope Jerry lives to be 120😅

Stephen A is correct!
Jerry has heard all the Dak talk after the last 2 playoff losses. If it wasn’t for his overpriced contract, I think Jerry would be cutting Dak sooner than later.
Picking up Trey Lance gives Jerry an option. It might be a long shot but at least it’s a shot. We have no shot with Dak!

Before adding Lance, Dak had no worries about throwing 200 interceptions because Cooper Rush is the next option. Adding Trey Lance lights a 🔥 under Dak. Let him go out there & look horrible like he did last year, & he’ll either be benched or cut. Jerry knows Dak has too many weapons around him & the defense is too good for this team to be led by a frantic interception throwing machine like Dak!

Dak thought that standing by Jerry Jones, he had card Blanche, 😂

I’ve said it before the problem with the Cowboys is, was and has always been Jerry Jones

At least this trade is sending a message to Dak to step his game up & making process in the playoffs. If he failed, let him go or trade him. Develop Trey as time goes on

It's not about feelings, but about respect. More to McCarthy than Dak.

It was a bit disappointing loosing Tray so suddenly. I hope Tray has some respect at Dallas!

49ers showed the NFL that you need 3 quarterbacks last year when the injuries went down. Jerry Jones picked Trey Lance knowing that, and got him for a 4th round pick.
