Sculpting a HORSE head in CLAY! ✨Learning to improve my process +IG Q/A

There’s something about the challenge of sculpting in low-relief that’s unusually tricky, yet I figured out how to do it, and I’ll take you along on the complete process of this equine sculpting journey, while also answering a few sculpting questions from Instagram. This time I’m sculpting with Sargent Art brand of plastilina clay and comparing it to my previous experience with sculpting epoxy putty. This is my sixth attempt at sculpting a horse in a low-relief (or bas-relief or medallion as it’s also called). I even share my first attempt to sculpt this very horse in medallion form.
