Hey Team Kestava, todays video dives into the structural engineering software i use daily as a licensed professional engineer and that i believe you should know as soon as possible to advance your career.

Spend your time in university getting familiar with these listed software's and you'll be 100% ahead of your peers, ready to excel in your young professional career!

There are many software's on the market and not every firm is the same, from my experience however, the programs I've listed are the most widely accepted structural engineering software's used between many companys.

Thanks Rich, I'm an architect trying to further my understanding of my structural brethren. You provide great videos and content!

Good list. Another software in the same vein as Hilti Profis and Simpson is Dewalt Design Assist. It differs slightly because it allows you to analyze its products AND hilti products. I find it helpful when contractors want to switch from a hilti product that I've specified to a dewalt product which, as you know, is not a one-to-one change. All of these programs have a nearly identical interface so if you learn one, you've pretty much learned them all.

I love excel, but my company I work for uses MathCAD instead. I like it, but I also prefer excel for some variation.
