Anthony Blinken pushes US Israel-Gaza ceasefire plan in Middle East | BBC News

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has visited Cairo and Jerusalem as he attempts to build regional support for a draft Gaza peace deal recently unveiled by President Joe Biden.

The top American diplomat met with foreign leaders, including Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, on his eighth visit to the Middle East since the start of the war in Gaza.

Mediators from Qatar, Egypt and the US have been attempting to negotiate a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas for months.

But Mr Netanyahu has not endorsed the US proposal yet, either.

I skip Blinken It is impossible for him not to lie. The Rescue op was nothing more than a public relation exercise
To rescue 4 hostages at the cost of 3 more hostage deaths due to friendly fire bot to mention the 250 Palestinian deaths plus the 800 wounded. While putting the remaining hostages at grater peril due to the botched rescue operation is nothing to celebrate. But it did make Bibi look good. Or even more stupid .

the UNSC has just adopted a resolution (14Y-0N-1A) supporting the US-proposed ceasefire… dont think Israel is going to implement it though
