The TD series dozers were a great machine for there day. The true innovation was the 2 speed steering where the machine kept power forward on both tracks versus only power to one while trying to push or rip. My family’s company had both td 20 and 25s from international and the newer Dresser industries. The only shortfall was the complexity of their transmission and final drive system had a failure rate that was expensive to repair. We finally scrapped our last td 20s in 2019 but both had well over 20k hours. Dresser was purchased by Komatsu and can still see td designs incorporated into their dozers. It was so ahead of its time that the designs were purchased and being made in Poland by Dressta.

I recall that the US Navy Seabees used these in the '70s. Operation Kangaroo II in 1976.

I ran a TD25 in a landfill pushing dirt for cover. I LOVED the 2 speed laterals for making turns with both tracks under power. It saved wear and tear on the whole machine I think!!

I think the TD-25 was the best dozer I was ever on. Power! Smooth controls easy to operate. Just fun to run.

I own three TD 24's. One runs perfect and the other two are spare parts.

I go to a job site if I seen anymore than 1 old broken down that has not ran in years Dresser. I offer them 4X my normal hour age rate or I go elsewhere. Old 25 dozers was some good tough dozers if maintained like it should have been.

D8H outweighed a TD 25 by 26000 pounds in 1962. Can't replace displacement or weight and expect similar performance. D9 came out in 1954 with 286 hp, the Euclid TC12 came around 1959 with 400 hp. TD 25 was a brute, but not the biggest.

My friend's dad had the international highloader... not sure of the designation but it was a real beast!

As a navy seabee, 72 to 76, a worn out excapee from the bone yard D8h kicked the butt of a new td25.

Used to run one in the 70's and early 80's. Powerful machine in their day. My 700 deere would run circles around it today

We had D7 D8s in SeaBees on Diego Garcia. Also td20 Td25s .
The Cats were just better dozers.
