One of the biggest complaints by New Jersey residents is their high property taxes. While there are solutions, Gov.. Christie said there is an unwillingness to take the steps needed to solve the problem with no end in sight.

My parents own a house out right in nj but they still have to pretty much pay a mortgage every month in nj because of property tax 10k a year! Paying rent to your gov is terrible im going to Florida where people pay a few hundred a year

The whole school tax system has to change! They need to tax by income with a tiered cap, also, they need to tax the people with no kids at a lower rate, tax people with kids at a higher rate. Why should people with no kids pay the same tax rate as someone with kids. New Jersey is out of control with the school taxes, but the lazy ass Legislators won't do anything about it!!!! They need to take the power away from the school boards and the administrators because they couldn't care less who they run out of their homes as long as they get their over projected budget approved by a bunch of nepotistic school board members. No wonder seniors and retirees are leaving the state by the thousands, and they leaving family behind because they can't afford to keep paying the damn school taxes!

This is JUST like Phil Murphy saying he'll allocate taxes better and make your taxes work. If the taxes are too high I don't give a goddamn what you do with the money its still too high.

Chris the schools kinda went down hill too. Im forced to move because I refuse to subsidize this mess along with having to pay to put my son in a private school
