It’s not a cap. Hers was already beginning to melt and was more liquified giving it some lubrication. Yours was just solid and not as melted.

A tip for removing frozen things like homemade popsicles from molds is just to rinse it under warm water

I recommend try it again, but before cutting it run it under warm water till you got a thin layer of soda between the bottle and the frozen core then try this. a solid frozen soda is going to swell from the ice crystals and freeze expand the plastic getting it stuck. I've done this dozens of times over the years with water, sodas etc.

you should of run warm/hot tap water on the bottom of the bottle to kinda melt the outside layer of the soda so it doesn't stick and doesn't break like that, so that technically was a slap...

I believe it's because of the shape of the bottle. The coke's cross section is a bit more even compared to the drink that he used which is more sunken in

You froze it fully and she didn’t. She also had a different type of bottle. Mountain Dew kinda of has an odd shaped bottle near the bottom and that’s probably why yours broke :0 definitely slap

There was a vending machine in our department break room at uni that got set too low, so the soda froze but only part way. When you opened it, it was like a volcano with how much of the soda would come out.
