Israel needs to go ahead with this canal project because it will pay for itself quickly. The profits can fund the development of Israel’s military industrial complex to reduce the dependency on French and American weapons and ammunitions. It can force the Gazans to decide whether they want to sincerely recognize the existence of Israel and place the canal on the Philadelphi corridor or north of Gaza if they once again turn down an offer of a better economy and instead depend for all their needs like water, electricity, oil on their Arab neighbors starting with Egypt.

Some reasons against that stupid idea:
1) Egypt can widen and may be double the Suez canal for less than 10B$ and fix the price lower to ruin the Israel canal
2) Israel can transport oil from Gulf to Eilat and shorter CC can dispatch into all Mediterranean Harbours like Fos sur Mer, Savona, Trieste where there are refineries or other pipelines to Strasbourg (possible to send to germany), Aigle in Switzerland, Austria, but also in Black Sea. They have also a railway line in construction from Arad to Eilat so they could do the same with containers on megaships coming from Asia and dispatched after to harbours like Piraeus, Venice, Genoa, Fos or Barcelona
3)Israelis officials always said that Israël has no atomic bombs. How will you make 160 nuclear explosions?
Other countries tried to do it (US Plowshare project, and also RUssians) but it remains too much radioactivity in the soil.
4) Since 50 years, many activities have been built in Negev and such a big trench will be not a good idea.
5) There is some fresh water under the soil of desert and a trench 50m under zero level will drain this water or need high cost system to avoid it
6) At that the moment Houthis rebels are firing with missiles boats supposed to go to Israel or belonging to Israelis companies. Some major world transportations company have declared that it was better for them (comparing to increasing cost of Suez Canal and increasing cost of insurances) to make their ships going around africa.
Who will waste 55B$ for a project no needed?

How will the canal builders cut through 660 feet of elevation on the route from the gulf to the Mediterranean? Mexico is going to offload/onload ships and use railroad cars to overcome their own 660 feet of elevation rise between the gulf of Mexico and the Pacific.

Suze canal's revenue will split with 'Bendyraani canal'. The cost of canal toll will fall, waiting time and ship running fuel will be saved, carbon emission will be reduced, ships pay load price will also go down and the consumer goods price will go down if not stabilizes at its lowest level in the world benefiting all. Lets dig that canal completing at the shortest time possible not going beyond three years. The cost of digging it can be shared issuing shares to all nations in the basis of profit sharing if home country is short in cash.

Sounds like a good idea for making plenty of money.

The Ben Gurion Canal is a great idea and its time has come. Creating a partnership with the people of Gaza could lead to a solution for peace in the region.

Ngl it will be useless because the Suez Canal is shorter for most ships and that it woudle be less sufficient cause Saudi Arabia controls the strait of tiran

There's a big problem with this Ambitious Canal Plan! The Mediterranean Sea (MS) and shore has Natural Gas, just one spark with heavy equipment or explosions to remove the volume of dirt, could ignite the MS. To move this volume of dirt in a timely manner, a Nuclear Device would have to be set hundreds of feet below the canal surface! This is the problem, like the "Snowball Effect, " but larger...God Help Us All, If Something Goes Wrong! Nature Gas Is Harmful To breathe, especially, if it explodes!

The Islamist bias of "Ultimate Build" is no surprise. Therefore, I voted this video DOWN as many others should have.
