Let's not forget the battle of Siget, where around 3000 Croats fought against more than 100 000 Ottomans and they fought until their last breath, not surrendering. Nikola Šubić Zrinski made a heroic last charge with around 50 Croats on horses and blowing up gunpowder storage.

They held so long sultan Suleiman died of old age and tens of thousands of Ottomans were killed, making enough time for armies up north to assemble and prepare for Ottomans.
