Just started brushing down instead of diagonal yesterday and immediately saw the difference.

There are 3 ways for a waver to brush their sizes, but it depends on were their crowns locate( top, tip, or behind their head)
1st way: Brush to the top of your eyebrows: Wavers with a Crown at the tip of their head
2nd way: Brush Straight Across: Wavers with a crown behind their head
3rd way: Brush Straight Down: Wavers with a crown at the top of their head

It def works. You have to brush your sides the way they grow....and a lot of people's grow down.

Brushing straight down without a angle has always worked for me. It is a forbidden way of brushing, but my waves have always seem to come in faster. Either it be ripples or Shadow waves in the beginning.The only thing I hate about it is that you get the clear lines in the top corners of your head, and that is very annoying. But it will eventually go away with a haircut.

so I've been brushing my sides diagonally for the longest and only saw progress around my crown but not on the sides i started brushing my hair down and it worked.. I almost instantly saw my waves come in in like a day or 2 ans and i have a fresh cut... But i think it depends on which way your hair grows but u can train it... Im just telling u wat worked for me... Im also a coarse hair waver

I tried this after you mentioned this in another video and I did get progress but I didn't like the angle the ripples came in. But yeah, the progress definitely came quicker.
So how do you get the waves to tilt more instead of going straight across?
