Man that’s so nice to take your son out fishing like that, he won’t forget that memory!

Been kayak fishing for 15 years. It is addictive. Let me save you some time, just go buy a Hobie, you will never regret it. Safety tip - dress for the water temp. Was fishing last Friday, water temp 54. Buddy fell in grabbing a loose rod, was in the water maybe 10 minutes before I retrieved his drifting boat, he was already going numb in the legs. I would add that falling in is very rare, between my buddy and I we have 30+years kayak fishing, he's fallen in twice, I haven't yet. We are both in our 60's.

This is one of the funniest videos you guys have done together, good one liners. I did the same thing a few months ago...not catch a lot of trout, but first time in a kayak in a long time. Goal #1...Don't flip over.

So cool to see you out in a kayak! Definitely my favorite way to fish. Vibe makes a great kayak. The Shearwater 125 is a favorite. Along with the Outback of course. Thanks for the video. That was fun to watch!

Hi Brant if your looking at picking up a kayak there’s lots to choose from, but I would recommend nothing less than 12’.

You can’t go wrong with a pedal kayak. It will free up both of your arms👍

If you’re ok with a used one check out a Newer Hobie outback.

If you’re looking for a new one, the 2019 & up outback have kick-up fins, so if you hit an oyster bed or fish shallow water they will just kick up when you hit something instead of breaking.

Also Oldtown Topwater PDL has a Skeg that will protect the prop, and it has immediate froward and reverse.

The Vibe brand that you’re fishing in has the Shearwater that has an optional electric motor pod that pops in and out of the drive well.

Love the back and forth Razzing sessions!🤣

Beach Bum flailing that kayak paddle around when that race started was hilarious!

Looks like you guys had a blast!! At the end of the day, that’s what it’s all about. That’s what my wife and I love about watching both of y’alls channels. You’ve never lost touch of that concept. Just love what you do

So glad to see y'all in a VIBE kayak. That Yellowfin 120 is very stable. You'll love it.
You would REALLY love the Shearwater 125 pedal drive or the Cubera hybrid.

Beach bum looked like a buzz bait tangled up with a Zara spook during that race. His little arms were working so hard!

You and Bum have talked me into getting a kayak. It looks like an absolute blast. Time for me to hit some small creeks!

Kayak fishing is life.

Sold off many years ago. I'll reconnect soon. But for now going to add to a new arsenal is a inflatable pontoon. Vibes!

Brant, I enjoy your vids. I am an avid kayak fisherman so glad to see you in a kayak. 1 very important suggestion, wear the PFD vs keeping it between the legs. It isn’t if you will turtle sometime but when.

I have a Vibe SeaGhost 130 and I absolutely love it. I would rather have a Hobie or Old Town but, for a non pedal drive kayak, you can't beat the SeaGhost. It has a 550 pound storage capacity. I feel comfortable with going in rivers and offshore. It has a weight of 74 pounds which isn't terrible when you are moving it by yourself.

Great video.
I've been thinking about getting a kayak for a while now and after watching your video you have given me the incentive I needed so thank you.🎣😎🐟

Great video Brent, I know you said you wanted to keep it light and cheap but take a look at the old town sportsman 106 powered by Minnkota but if I was buying today I would go Old town sportsman auto pilot 120 what a super boat, But they are higher in boats. But I would like to make a couple of recommendations first thing you need is a very comfortable life jacket which would be the NRS With the high mashed back, and another great recommendation would be the NRS Boundary boot it makes getting in and out of your kayak so much Easier and colder water temps. They come up to the knee and keep your feet totally dry. Can’t wait to see you get a Kayak

Brant I have the pelican catch 10’6 like beach bum and while it is short and light and comfortable which is why I bought it it’s pretty difficult to stand and fish in it and I’m 180 6 ft. It’s possible but not stable enough to fish comfortably. You may say you don’t want to stand but after a while fishing in it you’re going to want to or at lease want a more stable kayak. That’s just my ✌🏻 cents.
