LeBron James Is the NBAs First Active Billion Dollar Man

LeBron James is making history on and off the court, as he is the first NBA player to reach the billion-dollar mark in earnings while still playing in the league.

“Start Your Day” hosts Lauren McCoy and Shannon LaNier celebrating James’ achievements as only the sixth person in global sports history to accomplish the feat. “People can talk about LeBron’s ego all they want, but at the end of the day, he puts his money where his mouth is,” said McCoy. “I think that’s so important because when you have all of that money, yeah it’s fun to go get everything you want. ...But as long as you’re giving back to the community and giving back to those people who got you where you are, I think it’s important and that is what LeBron has done.” James’ works and projects include producing movies and television shows and a lifetime endorsement deal with Nike.
