The story of this game was not JR Smith. It was not the Warriors winning. It was LeBron James turning in possibly the greatest single-game, individual performance in NBA history. This was 51 points, 8 rebounds, and 8 assists against Durant, Curry, Green, Thompson, etc. This was on the road in a place where almost no one has won in the postseason over the past four years. This was on the heels of 46-11-9 in Game 6 and 35-15-9 on 48 minutes in Game 7 of the ECF. This was so insanely unprecedented and unforgettable. I hope it's not wasted on history, because it was rare, rare brilliance.

It takes 4 all stars, 2 mvps, 3 refs, a teammate doesn't know the score to beat the GOAT

THE MOST UNREAL AND GREATEST PLAYOFF RUN BY A PLAYER, EVER!

Seeing LeBron's teammates waste his greatness has to be the most frustrating thing for Cavs fans

The thing that will always define Lebrons legacy is that the 2nd and 3rd best player in the league teamed up to beat him.

Miami lebron was an absolute physical specimen - 6'9", 270, jumps out the building, runs like the wind, strong as a bull.

2018 lebron was an an absolute artist: fadeaways, fakes, footwork, clutch gene, fundamentals, supreme bball IQ, leadership, floor general.

I couldn't even tell you which was more fun to watch. Watching lebrons career progress was a delight.

I'm a warriors fan but I felt bad for LeBron this game. He scored a million points, made good defensive plays that got called and then had to deal with George hill and Smith choking. And he got a goddamn bloody eye. It was the saddest thing I've ever seen

I really can’t blame this on LeBron. This is honestly sad. He scored 51 points, to lose by double digits. That says a lot.

I often catch myself coming back to this when I’m at my lowest. Something about the resilience showcased by Lebron here gives me purpose and comfort.

Applaud! Never was a LBJ fan, but this man is clearly head and shoulders above all other players... I'm gonna call him "a new MJ", because he deserves this...

"His *EIGHTH* 40 point game in these playoffs."

And that was just 2 years ago, in his 15th year, this man can still hit some Ultra Instinct status before he retires 😳😤😎

8TH 40 POINT GAME IN PLAYOFFS IN THAT SINGLE YEAR. He was absolutely neck deep ALL IN for another Cleveland championship.

In all seriousness - if you actually think The Warriors beat Cleveland by themselves tonight you're sadly delusional. I've seen a lot over the years but this takes the cake.

Loss is a loss. But a King will always be a King.
