I got caught out by this watching it and every now and then there is a "beep" which is the exact same sound to my house/workshop PIR sensors when the battery is flat. I eventually realized it was on Scott's not after visiting the alarm panel to see what battery was low.

All that salt air moisture on the boat trip from the USA to your area got that screen a lil moisturized LOL.... You could almost see those spicy pillows growing like donuts frying in the grease I was looking every other day on those recycle /Ewaste companies for a HP8657 signal generator, I always got outbidded . The good companies test and warranty their test equipment I finally found a HP8657 that a ham club had for sale on ebay . 2015 macbook pro is still user upgradable. I'd do an NvME storage upgrade. You just need to order an NvME to mac adapter.
