Superabsorbent Polymer - Chemical Reaction

Let's observe the effects of Sodium polyacrylate and water. Sodium polyacrylate can absorb it's own weight 300x over making it an amazing chemical to aid in water cleanups. What would you use it for?

That's the bubble baff shit.I knew it was as soon as I saw the opposite reaction.That's so cool how people make that.Meaning Bubble baff takes like 1 min or less to make for an entire bath.Seems fairly simple for something so complex.

This is fantastic. We literally just did an experiment to make fake snow using sodium polyacrylate. I’m going to try adding salt and seeing if I can reverse the process. Thanks for posting this.

i remember a similar thing from when i was younger. it was done in a product called Jelly Baff, i believe. it made bath water solidify and turn a different color. When bath-time was over, some granules poured into the mixture reverted the process.

I've seen many videos like this but never knew about the adding salt to reverse the process. Adding food coloring makes it way cooler haha

YES! Thats the brandname! Several colors and scents.. I think it was JellyBath I bought like 10 boxes for the kids... too bad is one box/bath. But it was tons of fun!
