TIMBERJACK 240A SKIDDER - Quick Look

Take a quick look at a 1992 Timberjack 240A skidder with me. This beasty has a Cummins 4BTA engine, a Gearmatic winch and is an absolute monster. Definitely a little intimidating, so I'm taking it real slow.

Good comprehensive review Sarah! On the old crew, we had one of these, and it was always reliable, rugged, and you didn't have to go into huge debt to own one. I was always behind the Saw, but the Operator said the steering was articulated.

Thanks a lot for sharing. I have driven skidders in the past ( John Deere 440B ) It was a great machine. They are so much fun to drive. It feels like you can go anywhere! LOL

I ran a 240A like that except a standard trans ! Once we tried cable chockers I wouldn’t go back to chains .

In my younger years i owned 2 of them one hell of a machine we had a contract for furnace poles we were paid by weight the hardwoods were dropped into melted metal and they would bring all the bad stuff to the top and it would be drained off leaving only the good metal i did it for 15 years

You do grate job on interduction on how equipment runs and operates you would be grate at a dealership keep up the grate work my dad was a logging from st aurile Quebec I went to repairing equipment and have allways loved logging equipment.
