Dev goes into a few uses cases at Lyft where Kafka has helped their business operate seamlessly as it continues to grow rapidly including navigating intersections/roads while on route, the way drivers and riders are matched in the app, and even seeing the car moving on the app in real time. Finally, the two discuss why Lyft chose a vendor-based offering with Confluent, the business value that came with that decison and gives some advice to his peers on what Kafka can do for their businesses.
