Kolkata Doctor Murder: BJP Leaders Clash with Police During Kolkata Protest | Kolkata Rape Case

A clash erupted between BJP leaders and police outside the CGO Complex in Kolkata on August 16. The protest, which saw BJP leader Agnimitra Paul in attendance, was sparked by the alleged rape and murder of a trainee doctor at a local hospital. The confrontation resulted in police detaining some of the protesters. Agnimitra Paul stated, “Mamata Banerjee is trying to silence us. Although she is saying that she wants the culprits to be hanged, in reality, she doesn’t want that... Our protest will continue. We will go to the High Court...”
