Crazy Pedalboard! JAM Pedals At That Pedal Show [Jannis' Bonkers Board, Band Jams & Interview]

Jannis, Ilias & Emmanuel join us for chat, playing and fun!

Welcome to the show! We are delighted to welcome our great friends Jannis Anastasakis, Ilias Pantoleon and Emmanuel Vourakis from JAM Pedals to Schwangri-La.
Regular viewers will know that we have a special relationship with JAM, not least because of our collaboration on the Harmonious Monk pedal. Its very existence is evidence of the deep respect we have for the inspirational art and craft that emanates from their facility in Athens, Greece.
While they were visiting the UK to see Blur at Wembley and take in a few dealers along the way, we thought it would be only proper to get them into the studio to talk… and play!

There are English language captions available if you find Jannis (or me and Dan) hard to understand.

The first track Jannis plays at 0:35 is a version of the track 'Agrypnia' by Greek songwriter Thanasis Papakonstantinou

Jannis also mentions an artist with whom he plays; Dan and I attended a gig. The artist is Michalis Siganidis.

Enjoy the show!

I’m very glad I don’t have Jannis’ skills and creativity to loop like that otherwise I’d lock myself in a room with a lot of gear, stop eating, sleeping or showering and I’d play until I die. That was VERY special.

I’m at the point where Dan starts tapping a bass solo along with the guitar solo. Almost fell off my chair 😂

Art for your ears - that's what I call a fitting moto for Jam pedals!

"I borrowed this leg" hilarious. TPS introducing me to Thorpy and JAM has been tremendous.

I love your interviews with the best creative minds in the pedal "sound" business. I always learn so much about the intersection of creativity, electronics, sound, and the physical world.

Sometimes when I play around with sounds my wife says I'm creative and it feels good, then I see Jannis and realise I am basically just a child playing aimlessly with their toys 😅

So much inspiring stuff in here! Thanks for the great interviewing and production to bring it out too guys

Wow! ah man, what a rollercoaster this episode... The jam at the end sounds just like I imagine a Porcupine Tree jam from back then...mind blown...

That last jam was ferkin' excellent. Reminiscent of early Floyd doing "Careful with that axe Eugene" on a particularly trippy night. Someone needs to show this to Gilmour. Get him on the show already.

I just discovered JAM pedals.. Retired in Athens, and feeling quite fortunate to be able to spend a lot of time learning new things on my guitar and jamming with my Greek friends. ❤ Υια σας παιδιά, όλα τα καλά! Oh, and I just ordered my first JAM pedal, a Harmonius Monk!

I would absolutely love a post-rock / experimental album from Jannis! I'm incredibly impressed by the music he makes, and doing it all in the moment.

Great show gentlemen ! TPS has become a staple in my tv viewing. I love the camaraderie and the amazing wealth of knowledge. Thanks for all the laughs and the great music. PLEASE make an album together. You two know each other so well that the guitar sparks fly when you play together. Love and appreciation from Florida !!!
