My old route to high school (RFK HS) and college (Queens College). Large Professor once famously rhymed, “You can catch me joyriding on Kissena”. One thing though- it’s actually the Kupferberg Center and it has the Colden Auditorium (not Golden). My junior high graduation was at Colden. Lots of famous people have been performed there. I know Dionne Warwick and Wyclef have done shows there. More recently, Desus & Mero did one of their live podcasts there. Lots of TV shows have filmed at Queens College like Mr. Robot and Law & Order. Larry David also did a Bernie Sanders/Curb Your Enthusiasm sketch for SNL there. At 25:45, that was the old RKO Keith Theater. It closed down when I was a baby but I know my parents and my uncle saw movies there. Btw, Queens College alum and Mandalorian co-creator, Jon Favreau, used to work there.

Wow I grew up at 45-10 Kissena Blvd. I went to P.S. 24. It looks way cleaner and nicer now! Well I am 45 so things have changed. Awesome!

From 1961 till 1964 we lived in Flushing and I walked 1 block to P.S. 24 The bus line to downtown Flushing was
yellow up from the windows and orange from below the windows. It was Queens surface transit company.
