5 years ago, I sold my home and business in beautiful Plett and left SA for Panama with 3 suitcases and my rescue dog (sadly, he since crossed the rainbow bridge). And here I am in a rural and (mostly) quiet area, alone 95% of the time (but for some very active dogs)!!

Making friends has been very much a hit and miss thing, mostly miss, sadly!! But I can truly say that I have made so much effort.... have always been perceived as the Odd Ball, no less now.

So, mostly content doing my own thing, in a new country, learning new customs and languages, etc. Quite a challenge for an Ou Vrou in her 70's!!

Keep doing what you are doing. Takes courage and fortitude. Blessings. ❤
