The crowd in France was so electric today. Hope WWE does more shows there.

Americans: That crowd was fire
Europeans: Just an average sporting event crowd

Brooo that crowd was so loud they were making the camera shake for AJs introduction 😂 Out of all the international events we’ve seen so far, France takes the W for sure 🏆

To my American friends. That’s how the atmosphere is at football matches ⚽️⚽️⚽️

Edit: I’m talking about the one you call “soccer”

You guys highlighted the crowd, but you should have done it twice. The crowd in the beginning singing Orton's song was absolutely ASTONISHING. Orton and Kevin walking out into that crowd and just being speechless should have been #1.

The Lyon, France crowd were the winners last night. They never stopped cheering, singing, or clapped all throughout the show.

First Puerto Rico, UK London and Now France. WWE need to do more Premium live events out of the US as the crowds over there are amazing and create a fantastic atmosphere in the arena.

Shout outs to France. That's easily one of the best WWE PPV crowds ever.

Some important context for the international crowd watching: The sentence you hear the crowd yelling after a 2 count is "simplement deux" which means "simply two" or "only two". It's a catch phrase that's been coined by two French commentators for more than twenty years on French TV, those very two commentators that you see at the ringside table here. In fact if the French crowd is so passionate about WWE, it's in a very VERY big part thanks to those two guys, even if they don't wanna admit it. And the proof of their importance is that the whole arena knows this catchphrase... Philippe Chereau and Christophe Agius might in fact be the most influential "superstars" of WWE in France, and I'm not saying this lightly. Probably the majority of the crowd present tonight at Backlash fell in love with WWE thanks to the way these two guys always know how to convey and translate the stories to the French audience, and for the past 20+ years they've always been as loud and passionate on commentary as the crowd tonight. Add to that the fact that they also play characters while they comment the matches, Christophe is usually cheering the bad guys while Philippe cheers the good guys, and they have a whole lot of running gags and inside jokes that they've been throwing for as long as I can remember...
Actually when their table got destroyed tonight, you could hear the crowd singing "agius-chereau" in their honor.
I could write a whole essay about those two and their importance in the French WWE universe. That's probably why Cody shook their hands before entering the ring on last SmackDown, I think he knows.
