This episode actually made me cry. I know it was supposed to be satire, but last year was the first year I ever spent Christmas alone in my apartment. I just turned 24 yesterday, and I’ve been slowly drifting away from my parents. Seeing Brian sitting alone in jail on Christmas morning is exactly what I felt like last Christmas: watching all these families have happy celebrations together, and I’m all by myself in the world, trying to figure out my life. It’s just not the same as it was when I was a kid.
