I find alot of the cheaper " hobby grade" trucks will have severe toe out on the front wheels in an effort to combat the steering being so bad with the cheaper servos/receivers, but this ends up creating very touchy steering due to the alignment

I know you guys like to save people money but I just have to say, you have to spend at least 300 smackers to get anything with quality and power. I think a great off road rig is the arma typhon brushed 3s blx. it is under 300 actually with the brushed motor and the brushless is only $339, its pretty cool. I have an $800 1/8 scale truck but that's a lot to drop for a beginner.

I think it needs a better brushed motor, maybe a traxxas 12 turn 550.

Take the wheels and install on the 124019...adjust spring rate so it sets up and go for it.

This reminds me of when I tried my Wltoys a979 the first time: the toe in was about the same as this one and it wasn't good at climbing and it was hard to control but when I installed some adjustable tie rods on it it solved the problems so I think you should do the same on this one and give it another chance.
