I learn on my favorite " TRUE CRIME /NETWORK Channel 12-3 locally ) that serial killers start out this way. We are only beginning to understand CRUELTY TO ANIMALS. Just this morning I was horrified by the description of the killing of a pig in the Thomas Hardy classic " Jude the Obscure ". Sensitive, scholarly Jude begins to wonder if he himself is UNFIT for Life .
How is a swan crying or a pig screaming in terror any different from the HUMAN emotion ?
