Northern California wildfire evening update | August 20, 2020

Fires burn across California, causing evacuations. ABC10 has updates on the LNU Complex Fires, Jones Fire, SCU Complex Fires and other new ones popping up.

Dig a big hole folks and bury your goods throw a blanket over it and cover it with 3-4 inches of dirt. Save what you cant take with you!

How come the houses turn to dust, engine blocks melt and run into puddles yet the trees surrounding them look untouched?

And the insurance companies will wiggle out of paying just like they did last year. People from 2017 are still trying to collect from them.

Can someone please explain why only the homes burned and not the trees, electric poles etc.?

Oh yeah! How come the trees are still standing? And some with leaves on!

I am a little confused, these homes are worth millions of dollars yet I see no fire fighting systems on the property's, no sprinkler, pumps, water tanks, or pools used for fire fighting? I don't get it. My home up in Shasta county near Mt. Lassen has six residential water hydrants, I installed 5 each 360° sprinkles that are at a 15 to 20 ° angle up the sprinklers when running at full strength overlap and I get good coverage. At minimum this keeps the house wet and any small fire will be extinguished. While I man another hose with a nice nozzle. Its low tech but its something, alone with a dependable area I can presoke the entire home before the fire arrives. Our residential area has its own water well and pumping system that can run off a generator. Once I installed everything it did not cost that much. If need be I can turn on all the sprinklers and leave. If I can do this on my budget just think what you could have if you have a multimillion doller home.

I mean save their own properties from fires with proper public training. Fire fighters are already overwhelmed.

Daniel, yeah there seems to be something other than normal forest fires, but can only guess.
