Boston Harbor hasn't always had a strong striped bass fishery. Just over 20 years ago, it had pollution levels so high that it struggled to support large, healthy populations of any kind of sport fish.

Today, thanks to the incredible clean up efforts and development of water-treatment infrastructure, Boston Harbor is now the 3rd cleanest harbor in America. Each season, a wide variety of sport fish enter its waters, including striped bass, bluefish, winter flounder, and black sea bass.

Captain Brian Coombs of Get Tight Sportfishing walk us through growing up fishing the harbor, and how clean up efforts have led to an incredible striped bass fishery—cementing Boston Harbor a premier urban fishery

I remember fishing off Moon Island as a kid and watching brown “trout” floating in the water.
